About Me
"Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future"-Proverbs 31:25
Meet Meredith
First and foremost, I am a Christian—a born again believer whose foundation is in Jesus. I came to know Christ at a young age and have been walking with Him ever since. Now, has that walk always been easy? No! Have I stumbled, stubbed a toe, toppled over, rolled down the hill and fell into the mud a few times on this walk with the Lord? Absolutely! But like the old hymn says, ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus.’ It is so sweet when He picks you up on that road and helps you carry the burden you were never intended to carry. Walking with the Lord is the best decision I have ever made and it is a path I will never abandon.
Second, I am a wife to a loving, God-fearing, intelligent, humble man, Kenneth. He’s my best friend, prayer partner, biggest supporter, and absolute love of my life. I am incredibly thankful for this sweet gift God gave me. He truly makes me a better woman of God. I am also a proud mommy to a sweet, beautiful little girl and handsome, amazing baby boy. Despite the sleepless nights sometimes, they are such joys and I am forever thankful for them! My family means the world to me and I am grateful for God's unmerited favor and grace.

I am a Southern gal at heart but an implant to Washington, D.C. I moved to the DC area several years ago to pursue a career in education policy to advocate for equitable educational opportunities for minority students. I grew up in Texas where I attended Texas A&M University (WHOOP) for my bachelor and doctoral degrees in Political Science. I am involved in ministry at my church and sit on the board of a non-profit organization and college readiness research center.
I have a passion for writing and inspiring others through the Word of God. This devotional blog is for any and everyone who wants a deeper dive of Jesus, for those hungry for more of the Lord. This website is also for folks who know that social justice and your Christian faith are deeply intertwined. In fact, they are inextricably linked. Proverbs 31:8 says "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed," so I will also write about about the intersection of Christianity, inequality, and justice. I don’t profess to have all the answers but I do pore over the Word and write what Christ puts in my heart.
It is my hope that you enjoy Lois’ Fruit and that you would “taste and see that the Lord is good.” (Psalms 34:8) Allow the Word of God to go down deep into your roots (Colossians 2:7) and anchor you with His love and provision.
Lots of love,
Meredith B.L.Anderson,Ph.D.
