Jehovah Rapha: The Lord Who Heals
This morning the Lord put it on my heart that He is and will always be Jehovah Rapha (or Jehovah Rophe), the Lord who heals (Exodus 15:26). There are many names of God in the Bible that speak to His character. Psalm 41:3 says, “The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness.”
Take some time today to pray for those battling the Coronavirus. Pray that the Lord sends supernatural healing and strength. Pray for the doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and other health workers on the front lines aiding in this battle. Pray for the family members with loved ones in the hospital.
While God has the power to heal physically, He can also heal us emotionally. If you are struggling with something right now, cry out to God, Jehovah Rapha, that He might heal your heart. He can mend those tattered pieces that may be plagued by anxious thoughts and worry. Lay it at His feet today.
Stay safe, follow the CDC guidelines and the new 15 day guidelines to slow the spread, and whenever possible practice social distancing.
Stay in prayer. Exercise faith and wisdom during this time.
