Reset
Sometimes we just need a hard reset. Maybe you’ve been in a negative state or stressed over something that seems daunting or impossible to overcome. Romans 12:2 tells us to renew our minds.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Our thoughts can lead us on a pathway to greatness or destruction, to peace or discontentment, to life or death. I’ve always loved this passage of scripture below on shifting our thoughts. It is one my mom would encourage us read when we were down or discouraged. It says,
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Philippians 4:8 NKJV
We need to renew our minds by focusing on the Word of God. Maybe that’s reading a devotional ( I personally love YouVersion), listening to some uplifting worship music, praying, or fasting. Sometimes it’s all of the above! Take the time to give your concerns to God.
Rest on the promises of God this week and renew your mind. You are a child of the King. You are bold, in Christ. You are enough, in Christ. You are equipped, in Christ. So take the time today to reset.
